Blocks are opened into slabs on gang saws and wire saws; each slab is calibrated, mesh-backed and resined where needed, and finished polished or honed.
Vein cut (VC) and cross cut (CC) draw two distinct characters from the same stone. Slabs are numbered in block sequence; bookmatched pairs are selected at the facility.
